Video Publishing Options
A wide variety of websites are available for free publishing of student-created videos. Many of these websites are blocked by US school content filters, however. The StoryChasers project has not and likely will NOT "standardize" on a single publishing platform for student created video. Instead, our project hopes to facilitate resource and project sharing and encourage educators to share experiences publishing to different video sites.
Free Video Publishing Websites
- blip.tv - includes integrated Creative Commons licensing
- Google Video
- TeacherTube
- SchoolTube
- YouTube - maximum length: 10 minutes
- Edublogs TV
Alan Levine's website for "50 Ways to Tell a Web 2.0 Story" also includes a wide variety of digital storytelling websites and online tools. Not all of these support video publishing, but some do.
