StoryChasers are encouraged to commit to a shared code of ethics and regularly discuss ethical issues which naturally arise as a result of StoryChasing activities.

Ideas for Code of Ethics

  • Respect copyright laws, seek permission when needed, and give credit where it's due
  • Stories should be fair and unbiased
  • Seek guidance from supervisor on possibly controversial subjects .
  • Consider the audience and avoid inappropriate content
  • Chase the story in depth and give life to the people in it
